Vagrants FAQ
Q.: You have created Fall of the Gods. Why return
to the Starcraft universe now?
A.: The possible sequel to Fall of the Gods was cancelled before even
being announced due
to both technical difficulties and certain loss of interest. But my creative
energy needed an outlet, right? :) So, bits and pieces of images and thoughts
that were cycling through my head were shaped into this campaign. The storyline
was developed with Rommel taking active role in it.
Q.: Some of the characters have names from Rommel's
campaign, Hammerhead Project. Why?
A.: Because we're making Vagrants together, and the storylines are
closely linked.
Q.: What features will be in the Vagrants?
A.: Like Fall of the Gods, it's a campaign replacing embedded one, Terran this time. Seven missions
are playable (as all races I might add),
and the eighth is a cutscene. All heroes have unit voices, but there is,
naturally, no briefing or in-game voices, nor custom music. There is some music
replacing Blizzard titles, however it's not as numerous as in Fall of the Gods. Everything
is packed into one SEMPQ which is 23,5 Megabytes large.
Q.: You say there will be Raynor, Zeratul and
Tassadar in Vagrants. WTF?
A.: Unlike the authors of other campaigns which feature Blizzard's
characters, I did not try to squeeze them into my own storyline. Instead, I show
certain parts of the StarCraft storyline, from a slightly different point of
view...
Q.: Are there any new units?
A.: Yes, but a few only, and they're not trainable of course. They are introduced to add spirit to the storyline, and will be
revealed as the missions pass.
Q.: Will there be "secrets" of sorts?
A.: Definitely yes! :) But not as much as in
Razorclaw X campaigns; also, don't expect to see some anime characters in there.
It'd be better than that. :)
Q.: Will there be a sequel?
A.: The Hammerhead Project IS the sequel (or rather, Vagrants is the
PREQUEL to THP). Go
here for details.
